One week ago CakeSupplies returned from the IBA in München. Time for a recap! It was our first participation on this world-leading exhibition for the baking industry so expectations were high and excitement was real.
Since 1949, the IBA has been the meeting place for experts of the bakery, pastry, and snack trade. It is the platform for innovations from the entire trade and provides a complete overview of all novelties on the market. The most successful companies from artisan bakeries, via wholesale bakeries, through to the industrial solution meet up here. We were very happy to be one of them.
Over 6 days in total 77.800 visitors went to the 8 huge halls, looking for innovation in the baking business. With our international sales team and a demonstrator we manned a stand of 20m2 in which we presented a complete range of products from our main brands FunCakes and Wilton. It was exactly what many bakeries came looking for: high quality tools, bright colours, fun decorations and interesting baking mixes. Behind a specially for the IBA designed kitchen counter our demonstrator prepared several kinds of cakes for tastings, demonstrated the use of our newest products and decorated one cake after the other. Our sales team got the opportunity to exchange ideas with visitors from all over the world and inform them about our company, the assortment and our attractive sales conditions.
