You may have already noticed that some of the FunCakes product packaging now includes an MFD. But what exactly does MFD mean, and why do you see it on the packaging now?

What does MFD mean?
MFD stands for Manufactured Date, which is the production date, the day the product was made. Unlike the Best Before date, the MFD does not indicate the shelf life, but simply when the product was produced.
Why is the MFD shown on the packaging?
Listing the MFD is not legally required, but we added it at the request of a major customer. For that reason, we are gradually introducing the MFD across various product lines. The goal is to eventually display this date on all FunCakes products wherever possible. A small change, but one that makes it even easier to know when your favorite FunCakes were made!
