As we already announced in a previous message, The European Union and Switzerland are planning a ban on food products containing the ingredient E171 from 2022. This is expected to be announced around January 7, 2022. There will be a possible transition period in which the products may still be marketed. As soon as the announcement has been made, we will inform you accordingly.
As long as products with E171 are still in stock and allowed to be sold, they will remain available on our website next year. We are currently working closely with our suppliers to replace products containing the ingredient with E171-free products. A range of replacement products from Sugarflair are now available in our webshop. The sprinkles, edible lustres, pump sprays, pump refills, airbrush dyes and paint below do not contain E171. You can find these new products here.
