What makes an oil-based colourings different?
The highly concentrated, fully oil-based colourings can be used in buttercream, (white) chocolate, ganache, Swiss meringue, sugar paste, cream, baking mixes and batter. You can also use it to colour royal icing, marzipan and modeling paste. Thanks to this completely oil-based formula, the colour mixes well with sugar, eggs and butter. This creates deep, dark and vibrant colours.
How do I process the oil-based colourings?
Sugarflair promises vibrant and consistent shades that won't fade. The colours continue to develop over time. So start sparingly and see what it does. Shake well before use and add drop by drop to build colour. Allow for an exposure time of 1 to 2 hours for these colourings and then add additional drops if desired to create even deeper colours. To intensify the colours even further, it helps to let the colourings sit overnight.
Special Diet and Certifications
The colourings are 100% edible. The colourings are free from all known allergens and in addition, all colours are made without the use of E171 Titanium Dioxide. Although of course the same white shade cannot be achieved as with a white colouring with E171, the white colouring from this Sugarflair range is the best option for a whitener without E171.
