Create the most beautiful cake decorations with FunCakes Sugar Paste!This smooth and flexible sugar paste has a delicious vanilla flavour and is super easy to work with. Ideal for covering cakes, cutting out shapes, or modelling fun decorations. Just knead well before use and roll it out on a thin layer of icing sugar. Want to add a personal touch? It’s also perfect for colouring with food colouring. To cover a round cake of 20 cm in diameter, you’ll need approximately 500 g of sugar paste.
- FunCakes sugar paste has a fine texture, a delicious vanilla flavour, and is soft, smooth, and easy to use. It’s flexible when working and hardens fully after shaping.
- FunCakes sugar paste has a satin finish, ideal for covering cakes and creating clean, sharp cut-outs.
- The sugar paste is also suitable for creating decorations, you can easily model or create different shapes and designs.
The following process is recommended for the best result:
- Let the sugar paste come to ambient temperature. Knead the sugar paste firmly until it is smooth and elastic. Dust the work surface with a bit of icing sugar and roll out the fondant with a rolling pin to an even shape, 2 to 3 mm thick. Turn the sugar paste a quarter turn to prevent sticking. Are there still small cracks visible on the edges when the fondant is rolled out? Knead again firmly until the edges are smooth when rolling out. Then the sugar paste is ready for use.
- For colouring: let the sugar paste rest for one hour after colouring, covered, for the best results. Knead the sugar paste again before further processing.
