The FunCakes Mix for Sponge Cake Deluxe is the ideal base for all kinds of cakes. Use it to make a classic whipped cream cake, a fondant-covered celebration cake or a layered showstopper. This airy sponge, also known as "kapsel", is used by professional bakers and now you can achieve that same quality at home. It bakes up high, even and soft, ready to be filled and decorated any way you like.
For extra flavour, you can add lemon zest or your favourite flavouring. Let your imagination run free and create beautiful, delicious cakes.

Preheat the oven to 175°C (convection oven 160°C). Make sure all ingredients are at room temperature. Mix the mix, eggs and water in a bowl. Beat the batter for 7 to 8 minutes on high speed and then 2 to 3 minutes on low speed. Grease a baking tin and fill it halfway to two thirds full. Bake the sponge cake in the centre of the oven. Do not open the oven during baking. The sponge cake is ready when it feels springy to the touch. Remove from the tin immediately and allow to cool on a wire rack.
Sugar, wheat flour, wheat starch, emulsifier: E472b (palm, rapeseed), E477 (palm), raising agent: E500, E341, E450, E336, E575, glucose syrup (dried), skimmed milk powder, salt, flavouring, thickener: E415.
