The FunCakes Mix for Choco Sponge Cake 4 kg is the perfect base for creating light, tall chocolate cakes with a professional touch. This chocolate sponge, also known as “biscuit”, is ideal for festive cakes or multi-layered creations. With just eggs and water, you’ll easily bake a smooth, fluffy sponge with a rich cocoa flavour that’s ready for any kind of decoration, from buttercream to ganache or fondant.

Make sure all ingredients are at room temperature. Preheat the oven to 180°C (convection oven 160°C). Combine the mix with eggs and water. Mix on high speed for 7 to 8 minutes, then mix on low speed for another 2 to 3 minutes. Pour the batter into a greased baking pan, filling it halfway to two-thirds. Bake in the centre of the oven. Do not open the oven during baking. The sponge is ready when it springs back to the touch. Remove from the pan immediately and cool on a wire rack.
Sugar, wheat flour, wheat starch, 5,0% cocoa powder (skimmed), emulsifier: E472b (palm, rapeseed), E477 (palm), barley malt, glucose syrup (dried), raising agent: E500, E450, milk powder (skimmed), sugar (burned), thickener: E415.
