The FunCakes Mix for Red Velvet Cake is the ideal base for a soft and colourful red velvet cake with a mild chocolate flavour. This classic American cake is often paired with cream cheese frosting to highlight its deep red colour. Just add vegetable oil, eggs and water to bake a high-quality red velvet cake with ease.
The mix is also perfect for making red velvet cupcakes or cake pops. Great for special occasions or simply as a treat.

Make sure all ingredients are at room temperature. Preheat the oven to 175°C (convection oven 160°C). Mix the mix with 200 ml of water, 100 ml of vegetable oil and 3 eggs (150 g) and beat for 6 to 8 minutes until light and airy. Pour into a greased baking tin, filling it halfway to two thirds full. Bake for approx. 40 to 45 minutes until done. For cupcakes: divide the batter over approx. 20 paper baking cups and bake for 18 to 20 minutes at the same temperature. Perfect for filling or finishing with cream cheese frosting or buttercream.
